Amazon.com First Distribution Center
|
|
| This building in southern Seattle was the first distribution center for the fast-growing internet retailer Amazon. Though still in use as such, it is now the smallest of three distribution warehouses (the others are in Fernley, Nevada and Newcastle, Delaware, and a fourth opening soon in Coffeeville, Kansas). The offices of Seattle-based Amazon are spread out all over town in at least eight different buildings, most of which are unmarked. |
