Upper peninsula iron ore mine that has the capacity to produce eight million tons of iron ore pellets annually, one of the largest producers in the world. The operation is managed by the Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Company, which co-owns it with a number of large steel companies, as the ore pellet is used by the steel industry to produce steel. The operation employs over 1,000 people.
